•	Don’t leave appliances on charge for too long.
•	Always wash a full load. (It’ll also save you a bit of money on detergents and tablets!)
•	Wash clothes at a lower temperature.
•	Don’t leave appliances on standby.
•	Position your fridge away from any direct heat. For example sun or your oven.
•	Choose online, paperless billing and banking.
•	Dry your laundry naturally.
•	Regularly service your boiler.
•	Have a shower instead of a bath.
•	Defrost your fridge regularly.
•	Fix any leaking taps that you know about.
•	Take a green energy tariff, powergen, npower juice etc.
•	Draught-proof your home to keep you nice a cosy without the heater on all the time
•	Always buy energy efficient electrical goods.
•	Insulate your hot water tank and pipes.
•	Fit double glazed widows.
•	Replace your boiler if it’s over 15 years old, it might not be working as well as it did 15 years ago!
•	Install / top up loft insulation.
•	Install cavity wall insulation.
